The Chullo

Men traditionally make these knitted sheep's wool or alpaca hats. Chullos can be elaborate in design and adornment and those worn by young boys are often ornately adorned with white beads and large tassels called t'ika (flowers) that hang at the sides and down the back. Our weavers knit chullos inspired by traditional designs in a variety of styles, all of which feature the classic Peruvian earflaps.
