We can arrange language classes for our volunteers and anyone else. Spanish classes are in Ollantaytambo. Cristina, our long-time Spanish teacher, is from Madrid, Spain, where she was trained in teaching Spanish in an internationally-respected language school. Cristina offers intensive 20- to 40-hour classes, up to four hours per day, for newly-arrived volunteers who want a crash course in Spanish. She also offers ongoing instruction for those who need beginner, intermediate or higher level practice, from one to several hours per week. Cristina's classes are not only highly instructive; they are also a lot of fun. Private classes start at $9 USD per hour. Group lessons are available, depending on whether there is someone else at your level who also wants classes.

We can also arrange Quechua classes for those already proficient in Spanish. Juana, our Quechua teacher, is a charming local woman trained in language instruction. Classes are in the morning, up to 10 hours/week. Private classes start at $9 USD/hour; group lessons are available, depending on whether there is someone else at your level who also wants classes.
