I was born in India but my family moved to Sydney when I was 6 years old. From a young age, I have traveled a lot and lived in different places, so traveling, learning different languages and about different cultures is a part of who I am. I studied a double bachelors in Fashion & textiles design and International studies. After university, I moved back to India to work with artisans and to learn more about textile processes, where I ended up working in design and production for over 2 years. Eventually I felt a desire to experience artisan design elsewhere so when I stumbled upon an opportunity to work with Awamaki in Peru, it was the perfect chance to broaden my understanding of artisan communities and about the handmade supply chain.
