We did it! HUGE thank yous to the 136 people who donated yesterday to help create a Spanish Teacher’s Co-Op during Global Giving’s Bonus Day! Thanks to all of you, we narrowly won Global Giving’s bonus prize for having the most people donate; the competition for this prize was fierce, especially towards the end of the night, so we really appreciate everyone who helped us inch ahead just minutes before the deadline. As of this morning (counting gifts that came in after the official Bonus Day ended), we’ve raised $6,057 in donations, $1,669 in matched funds from Global Giving, and another $1,000 for having the most individual donors, for a total of $8,726! We more than met our fundraising goal, and are so thrilled to begin work on the Spanish Teacher’s Co-op. On behalf of everyone at Awamaki, thank you to everyone who helped us yesterday!
