Awamaki Sustainable Tourism Coordinator: Melissa Tola

Melissa Tola

Sustainable Tourism Coordinator

Hometown: Rumira, Peru

Melissa grew up in Lima and is the Sustainable Tourism Coordinator here at Awamaki. She leads tours for people who come to the Sacred Valley and are looking for an authentic experience. Through this, she has been able to create strong bonds with the women and really enjoys getting to see them as often as she does. Melissa has worked in tourism for fifteen years. She loves to travel and organize tours and has been with Awamaki since May 2018. She loves being surrounded by so much culture here in Ollantaytambo, although she finds the sound of farm animals at weird hours of the night quite unusual.
